Ophthalmology Referral Service
Located at White Lodge Veterinary Surgery, our Ophthalmology Referral Service is performed by Caroline Gillespie MA VetMB CertVOphthal MRCVS.
Caroline has a postgraduate certificate in Ophthalmology and has extensive skills and knowledge and is able to provide a range of clinics and surgeries.
Ophthalmology Clinics:
- Eyelid abnormalities including entropion, ectropion, diamond eye and “cherry” eye
- Corneal trauma, foreign bodies, SCCEDs
- Ocular neoplasia and other ocular changes associated with systemic disease
- Glaucoma management
- Blindness
Ophthalmology Surgery:
- Eyelid abnormalities
- Corneal ulcers, trauma, foreign bodies and SCCEDs
- Periocular neoplasia
Caroline works closely with other Ophthalmology specialists and advanced practitioners including those at Westmoor Veterinary Hospital to ensure the best possible clinical care for her patients. Referrals from within our practice and referrals from other practices in the surrounding area are treated in Exmouth during our Ophthalmology only clinic on a Tuesday, although other appointments can be arranged on a case-by case basis.
